IMPORTANT Visa Information
Visa requirements for Namibia will change as of 1 April 2025.
ALL delegates are to please contact the Paste 2025 organisers to obtain an Invitation Letter to enter Namibia and apply for an On Arrival Visa for specific countries – contact Paste2025 if you haven’t done so already. You will have to be registered for the event to obtain an invitation letter.
Delegates should present the invitation letter at point of entry, along with proof of return flight and accommodation in Namibia. Please note that the list of countries requiring this will be updated as from the 1st of April 2025 and can be consulted at the following link: https://visitnamibia.com.na/visa-information/.
Some countries are able to pre-apply online for a visa on arrival. Please click here to see if you are eligible.
Registration for the Paste 2025 Conference provides the attendee with:

Conference Attendee Information
The conference plenary and parallel sessions will be held in Spitzkoppe 1 and/or 2.
Welcome Function
A welcome function will be held from 17:00 local time, Monday 7 April 2025, in the exhibition marquee. Pre-registration for the conference will also be available during this time, at the registration desk in the Spitzkoppe Foyer.
Registration
Registration will be available from 07:00 local time, Tuesday 8 April in the Spitzkoppe Foyer. It is encouraged for delegates to pre-register where possible at the registration desk during the welcome function, from 17:00, Monday 7 April 2025.
Commencement Time
The conference will commence at 08:00 local time on day one, Tuesday 8 April 2025 in Spitzkoppe 1 & 2.

The Paste 2025 conference dinner will be a journey to the desert for a meal prepared by Chef David Thomas, good wine and networking under the stars.

Flights to Namibia
The venue is located in Swakopmund and the closest airport is Walvis Bay International Airport (WVB) which operates daily flights to and from Windhoek, Johannesburg and Cape Town. Most international airlines have codeshare offers with regional airlines (Airlink, Safair, South African Airways). The airport is 15 km away from the harbour of Walvis Bay, and 30 km away from Swakopmund.
Alternatively there are several daily flights to Windhoek the capital of Namibia located 360 km (3.5 to 4 hours’ hours drive) away from Swakopmund.
Airlines flying to and from Namibia include (subject to change) South African Airways, Airlink, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Qatar Airways, United Airways, Qantas, Delta, Lufthansa, Eurowings/Discover Airlines, Ethiopian Airways, Emirates and Safair.
How to Get to and From the Venue
Option 1: Flying to Walvis Bay International Airport
The drive to the venue is approximately 30 minutes and rides along the scenic dunes route or ocean route along the coast.
Option 2: Flying to Windhoek – drive to Swakopmund or shuttle to Swakopmund

Vaccination, Diseases, and Injections
Covid-19 vaccination is no longer required when entering the country, but we recommend confirming with your agent or authorities in case of new updates. Namibia is an arid country with generally low levels of diseases. People travelling from countries or having recently visited countries with yellow fever will be required to show their vaccination certificate. Malaria can be present in the north of Namibia along the Kavango Rive – please check status if planning a trip there.

Travellers to Namibia can travel with mobile equipment and access the GSM network at all towns and on most portions of the national highway. International roaming agreements are in place with 146 countries through 334 network partners.
