In 1999, the Australian Centre for Geomechanics initiated the series of international conferences on paste, thickened and filtered tailings (PTFT). The University of Alberta hosted the inaugural conference and is pleased to now host the 25th Anniversary of the Paste Conference.
Paste 2023 seeks to explore the considerations needed to raise mining industry leaders’ awareness of how important tailings stewardship is to long-term industry sustainability.
